Bluebird “Harvino” Site Update

Updated 26th February

Construction is well underway and the show homes are scheduled to be open from Saturday 2nd March. Landscaping is also well underway in front of the recreation building and the footpaths and entrance have been tarmacked. Mud on the road is now much less of a problem.

The period where the temporary traffic lights  were in place was compounded by the additional traffic lights put in place by Cadent for the repairs to the gas main. During this period Bellway began work to move the bus stop (direction from Halesowen) nearer to the bend in the road. The Parish Council intervened, along with County Counsellor Karen May, and this work was suspended.

The council are still concerned about the lack of appropriate speed calming measures in the area and are in dialogue with Bromsgrove Council and the Highways Agency. Current plans are available on the  Bromsgrove Planning Portal under the original reference 19/00592/FUL and the link to the planning portal is here.

If residents have any concerns during construction then please do not hesitate to express your concerns to HPC via hunningtonparish@btinternet.com

Balmoral Site Update (26/02/24)

Demolition was more or less completed by the end of January and footings are now being constructed. The council has raised concerns with Kiwi about excessive mud on the road, following complaints from some residents. The original timescales showed completion by the end of April, but this seems unlikely. The application and decision notice can be seen on the Bromsgrove Planning Portal using reference 22/01436/FUL.
