St Kennelm’s Day Update

Following many requests we are pleased to inform everyone that Romsley Parish Council have managed to re-arrange this event to Saturday September the 23rd at 6pm.

Stourport Brass Band and The Swingettes have both confirmed availability, and the evening will close with a fantastic firework display at around 8.30 pm.

We look forward to seeing you all there at this free event, paid for from the proceeds of Romstock.

Bluebird Site Update

The construction of the show homes is well underway and for those interested we will provide an update on when they are ready to view. Due to the atrocious summer weather we have been experiencing, the state of Bromsgrove Road continues to be a problem, despite wagons being hosed down before leaving the site and a road sweeper being used. We have complained several times on residents behalf and are continuosly monitoring the situation. On a positive note the rennovation of the wall and railings has gone well.

Additional detailed documents such as the road plan have been added to the Bromsgrove Planning Portal under the original reference 19/00592/FUL and the link to the planning portal is here. Discussions are still ongoing between the contractors and Bromsgrove Highways regarding traffic calming measures around the site. Hunnington Parish Council (HPC) have expressed concerns and the need to have appropriate traffic calming measures and will continue to do so.

If residents have any concerns during construction (such as footpath access) then please do not hesitate to express your concerns to HPC via hunningtonparish@btinternet.com

The original Balmoral planning application was amended from 4 x detached houses to 3 detached houses plus two semi-detached. We understand that this was a direct instruction from the planning officer. Comments and objections were added to the planning portal and the application was granted on 22nd July. The application and decision notice can be seen on the Bromsgrove Planning Portal using reference 22/01436/FUL.  Kiwi plan to have on-site presence by the end of September, with demolition commencing in October. The plans can be seen on the Bromsgrove Planning Portalanning portal using reference 22/01436/FUL and a link to the Planning Portal can be found here.
